How we handle your information. Effective September 4, 2026.

Who we are

CIV Enterprises is a custom apparel, signs, and promotional products shop at 215 Washington Rd, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. We operate shopciv.com and the pop-up stores hosted on it. Questions about this policy go to info@civenterprises.com or (610) 367-8012.

What we collect

Information you give us:

Your name, email address, phone number, and the shipping or pickup details needed to deliver an order.
What you ordered — items, sizes, colors, quantities, personalization text, and any artwork or files you send us.
Anything you write in a quote request, contact form, pop-up store request, or email to us.
An email address you give us to join a store waitlist or to be reminded about a cart you left behind.

Information collected automatically:

Basic, aggregated site analytics through a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics service. It does not use tracking cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other sites.
Essential browser storage that keeps your shopping cart intact between pages, and a session cookie for staff who sign in to our admin tools. These are required for the site to work.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Square on Square-hosted checkout pages. Your full card number never reaches our servers and we never store it. We receive only what Square reports back to us about the payment — the amount, its status, and the order it belongs to. Square handles your card data under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

To produce, fulfill, and deliver your order.
To contact you about an order, a quote, a store you asked us to set up, or a question you sent us.
To send order confirmations, store reports to store organizers, and — if you left items in a cart — an occasional reminder.
To keep our own books, records, and tax filings.
To keep the site working, secure, and free of abuse.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or ad networks.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that let us run the business, and only with what they need:

Square — payment processing.
Intuit QuickBooks Online — our accounting and invoicing (see the next section).
Our email delivery provider — order confirmations and other transactional email.
Our hosting and database providers — running the site and storing order records.
Our production management system, and shipping carriers when an order ships.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Our QuickBooks Online connection

We connect our own software to Intuit QuickBooks Online so that invoices and sales records are created in our books automatically instead of by hand. A few specifics, because this connection is ours and not yours:

The QuickBooks company we connect to is CIV Enterprises's own. Customers and site visitors do not connect their own QuickBooks accounts to us, and we never ask them to.
We request a single permission scope — accounting — and nothing else. We do not request payroll or payments scopes.
We use it to create and read invoices, customers, and items in our own accounting records. Information about your order that appears there is the same order and billing information you already gave us.
The access credentials Intuit issues are held on our own server, are reachable only by our staff-authenticated systems, and are sent to and from Intuit over encrypted connections.
We can end the connection at any time from within QuickBooks or from our own admin. Disconnecting revokes the credential at Intuit and deletes the stored copy from our database.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes — generally at least seven years, because reorders and tax records depend on them. Quote requests, contact messages, and waitlist emails are kept until they are no longer useful, or until you ask us to remove them.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, our admin tools require a login, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to produce and ship your order. Passwords, where we store them, are stored hashed rather than in readable form. No system is perfect, so we do not claim our security is absolute — but we do not keep card numbers, which is the data most worth stealing.

Your choices

Email info@civenterprises.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We may need to keep records of a completed sale for tax and accounting purposes even after a deletion request. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it; order confirmations and other transactional messages are part of the order itself.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. A parent, coach, or group organizer normally places the order when the wearer is a child. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
